Flow Cards
The Philips Avent Baby Monitor app provides trigger cards (When...), condition cards (And...) and action cards (Then...) for your baby monitor. Some come with Homey itself, the others are added by the app.
Homey's standard cards
Many capabilities of the monitor come with Homey's standard Flow cards. You find them under your baby monitor device, like for any other device.
| Capability | Cards | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Motion alarm | When, And | The alarm turns on, turns off, or is on. |
| Sound detected | When, And | On SenseIQ models, crying counts as a sound too. |
| Temperature | When, And | The temperature changed, with the temperature as a token. |
| Night light and brightness | When, And, Then | Turn the night light on or off, or set its brightness. |
| Lullaby playing, next, previous and volume | When, And, Then | Play or stop, skip, and set the volume. |
| Baby in crib | When, And | SenseIQ only. Shown as the presence alarm. |
The motion, sound and crying alarms turn themselves off after 30 seconds. A Flow on "turned off" runs 30 seconds after the last detection, not when your baby settled. See Capabilities.
Triggers (When...)
Baby started crying
SenseIQ only. Runs when the SenseIQ hears your baby cry.
Baby stopped crying
SenseIQ only. Runs when the crying alarm turns off again, 30 seconds after the last cry.
Breathing rate changed
SenseIQ only. Runs when the breathing rate changes while your baby is in the crib.
Tokens provided:
| Token | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Breaths per minute | Number | The new breathing rate. |
Privacy mode turned on
Runs when privacy mode is turned on, from Homey or from the official app. The camera is off from then on.
Privacy mode turned off
Runs when privacy mode is turned off. The camera is on again.
Lullaby changed
Runs when a different sound is selected, from Homey or on the monitor.
Tokens provided:
| Token | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Lullaby | Text | The name of the sound in your language, for example "White Noise". |
| Lullaby id | Text | The id of the sound, for example white_noise or brahms_lullaby. Handy in logic that shouldn't depend on the language. |
Monitor went offline
Runs when the monitor loses its connection, for example when it is unplugged or out of Wi-Fi range. The app learns this from the Philips Avent cloud, which can take a few minutes to notice. It doesn't run when only Homey loses its internet connection.
Monitor came back online
Runs when the monitor is connected again after being offline.
Conditions (And...)
All condition cards can be inverted, for example "Privacy mode isn't on".
Privacy mode is on
Checks whether privacy mode is on, so the camera is off.
Lullaby is selected
Checks whether a specific sound is the selected one. It doesn't check whether it is playing; combine it with Homey's "is playing" card for that.
Baby is crying
SenseIQ only. Checks whether the crying alarm is on.
Actions (Then...)
Play a lullaby
Selects one of the 15 sounds on the monitor and starts playing it.
Stop the lullaby after a while
Sets the monitor's own lullaby timer. The monitor stops the lullaby when the time is up, even if Homey is offline by then.
Turn the lullaby timer off
Turns the lullaby timer off. The lullaby keeps playing until it is stopped.
Turn the night light off after a while
Sets the monitor's own night light timer. The monitor turns the night light off when the time is up.
Turn the night light timer off
Turns the night light timer off. The night light stays on until it is turned off.
Turn privacy mode on or off
Turns the camera off (on) or back on (off).
Turn motion detection on or off
Turns the monitor's motion detection on or off. This is the same as the Motion detection device setting, which follows along.
Turn sound detection on or off
Turns the monitor's sound detection on or off. This is the same as the Sound detection device setting, which follows along.
